Summer Studio- My Inner-Self

I know it's been ages since I've posted anything. You can blame my procrastination for that. I have a lot of completed work, I just can't bring myself to upload it all. Not out of fear or worry that people will hate it or anything. Just pure procrastination.....So yeah.

But anyway. Last week, I was at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for their Summer Studio classes. Though it was my second time doing it, it was the greatest Summer Studio I have ever attended. Everyone there was so wonderful to meet and befriend. My whole Illustration class consisted of girls (minus my instructors), and every single one of them was a gem to be around. Even before the first day was over, it was almost as if we all became each others' sisters. I have never been more blessed in my entire life.

Sadly, it only lasted one week. I wish it could have been longer, but everything good must come to an end, I suppose.

Anyway, I decided to just go ahead and post my work from the week.

This piece is one I hold most of my pride and joy in. It's the first time I've actually done a real structured painting (with acrylics no less!) Took some time to get used to the blending, but it was worth it! It was originally a head-shot sketch that I did of myself, and it turned into this.

Thanks to everyone in my class who encouraged me to get into painting! You guys were right!
